The Ferry is 35 meters long and 9.6 meters wide and it has the capacity to carry up to 150 passengers, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey for all on board. This ferry covers a distance of approximately 60 nautical miles (110 kilometers) between Nagapattinam and Kankesanthurai, providing travelers with a scenic and enjoyable voyage that takes around 3.5 hours, depending on sea conditions. The twin-hull catamaran-style ferry ensures a smooth and comfortable journey.

The cost of the round-trip service is 13,000 INR (50000 LKR) plus tax, offering travelers an affordable way to explore both Sri Lanka and India. For those seeking a one-way journey, tickets can be purchased for Rs 6,500 INR (25000 LKR) plus tax, providing flexibility for various travel itineraries.
To book your voyage on this passenger ferry, an online booking facility will be available starting in January 2024. Until then, interested parties can secure their slots by calling India / International+91 744 886 3535 at least 24 hours in advance. Additionally, passengers will be required to send their passport copy and visa details via WhatsApp to confirm their booking.

The ferry service from Nagapattinam starts at 7 AM, reaching Kankesanthurai by 11 AM. The return journey begins at 2 PM in Kankesanthurai, and passengers will arrive in Nagapattinam by 5 PM. Each passenger is allowed to carry up to 50 kilograms of luggage, ensuring you can bring your essentials for a comfortable journey.
